Dad of a 14yr old pitcher here in SC. Got choked up too unexpectedly. You almost place yourself in those stands, with the same proud heart you have for your own daughter while watching them play. Then all that hard work and sacrifice from players, parents and coaches gets into a flow state and you feel the momentum build and the power/belief transfer between teams. Then you’ve got your eyes leaking! Way to go to everyone on this team, all their parents and coaching staff. Text book grit and talent there!

You could literally see the air deflate from their confidence when that first baseman missed that easy throw to her from the pitcher. It started a avalanche of confidence for the other team.

OMG! As a huge OU softball fan of many years, this was a superb performance by these young ladies. I have worked with folks from Weslaco in the oil business and I have relatives in Midway. I was born not far from Waco. Great finish. Congrats Weslaco.

When Weslaco does something, they do it in grand style. Congratulations to the State Champions, Weslaco Softball team.

The comeback is great, but the most impressive thing about this inning is the discipline of high-school players to rely on their coaches while running the bases. They could have easily messed this up by over running a base and getting their teammates in a jam.

That why they say it isn’t over until its over. Great win, those high school girls have a memory of a life time for a life time
